# 6.9 Workplace Visitors

**Employees hosting visitors are responsible for ensuring that:**

* prior approval is obtained where required,
* visitors sign in, present identification, and wear visitor badges,
* visitors are escorted at all times in work areas,
* visitors do not access confidential information,
* photography, recording, or device access is restricted unless authorized.
* Special care must be taken when visitors are minors.
