# 6.6 Friendships at Work

Friendships among colleagues are a natural part of the workplace and are permitted.

**Employees must ensure that friendships do not result in:**

* favoritism or exclusion,
* sharing of confidential information,
* gossip or inappropriate discussions,
* interference with professional judgment or productivity.

Any disputes arising from friendships that affect the workplace may be addressed under the Company’s disciplinary procedures.
