# 13.2 General Principles

### 1. Employees must ensure that external communications:

* are accurate and factual,
* do not disclose confidential or non-public information,
* do not misrepresent the employee’s role or authority,
* do not create confusion regarding Company or portfolio ownership,
* do not harm the Company’s reputation or relationships.

Unless expressly authorized, employees do not speak on behalf of the Company or its portfolio companies.
