# 10.6 Notice Period Buyout

Notice period buyout is not an entitlement. Approval of a buyout request is entirely at the discretion of the Company, exercised by HR.

**The Company may, at its discretion:**

* approve or refuse a buyout request,
* require partial service of the notice period,
* require monetary compensation in lieu of notice.

The Company is not obligated to approve a buyout request or provide reasons for refusal.
